House of Restoration Lay Counseling Ministries
We have found that we are living in a time of turmoil and tribulation, not only in the world, but in the church as well. Fifteen years ago you would not have heard words like incest, addictions, homosexuality, or child molestation from the pulpit or even talked about it at home. Many people carried guilt and shame with them because they were still caught up in addictions and could not find anyone in church that would disciple them and help carry their burdens. All they would hear would be; "You need to quit that sin and turn your life around" or "Just get on with your life, you are a new creation in Jesus so let go of your past" or, "Honey, just pray about it". Unfortunately, it sometimes does not happen just that easily.
We also came to realize that the church in most instances did not want to address the other issues that these individuals were facing. It was easier to send them somewhere else. For many of the people in church that need ministering to, it will be a long journey. It is for these that the Lord has called certain committed individuals to the "Ministry of Reconciliation". It is for these that the Lord has called us to be "Repairers of the Breach" (Isaiah 58: 10-12). This is a high calling from our Lord Jesus Christ – to be entrusted with the Caring of Souls. We are thankful to the Lord that there is a new direction for the caretaking of His sheep.
South County Christian Counseling Center has developed a lay counseling and deliverance team through Twin Rivers Worship Center. The lay counselors and deliverance ministers have been trained from a Biblical perspective. Each lay counselor has gone through extensive training and has a certificate through the American Association of Christian Counselors and Theophostics.
Our Mission Statement
The Purpose of Twin Rivers Worship Center is to heal the hurts of our world, by presenting the gospel in a way that non-Christians become Christians, and hurting people become whole individuals, who love God, themselves, their families and are confident enough to go back into the world to reach others who are hurting or without God.
